Tamang Heritage Trek

Upon your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, our company representative will come to welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. We will have trip briefing meeting at the hotel once everybody arrives. We will let you know the time of the meeting once you arrive. The meeting generally takes place in the evening.

It is a full day exploration of Kathmandu today. You have the whole day to explore the culture, heritage, and lifestyle in Kathmandu on a guided tour. After you take your breakfast, we will take you for a beautiful sightseeing tour of the cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu. The sites include ancient Buddhist stupas, Hindu temple, and medieval royal palace square. You will explore about the Kathmandu valley civilization since the ancient time. This day tour will give you a better understanding of life in Kathmandu in the past and at present.

We check out the hotel today to drive to Syabrubesi, where the trek starts from tomorrow. It’s a long day drive that starts early morning. Although a long day drive, it takes us past scenic middle hills highway to Syabrubesi. We will check into a guest house at the small and beautiful town, the gateway town to the Langtang region trekking.

We start the trek today along the Tamang Heritage Trail. The destination for the walk today is Gatlang village. The walk takes us through beautiful region with spectacular views of the mountains along the trail. As soon as we start the walk, we find ourselves on an uphill walk that brings us the majestic view of the Ganesh Himal range of the Himalaya. We will have a great day experience before reaching the overnight destination. 

Once we reach Gatlang, we can explore the cultural lifestyle of local Tamang people.

On the second day of the walk, we head towards Tatopani as our destination for the day. The walk is another beautiful day that brings us wonderful scenic surroundings with lots of natural beauty. As we trek, we will walk past a hydro power project as well. Tatopani is a village with a natural hot spring there. Once we reach Tatopani, we can go for a refreshing natural hot spring bath. Later, we will have time to explore and enjoy the place.

We are going to trek to Thuman today. We are going to be at the highest elevation on the trek today. Nagthali Danda is situated at the elevation of 3,165 meters above sea level from where we can enjoy astounding views of the mountains in the surroundings. The wonderful view from Nagthali will come after a challenging uphill walk. We will enjoy the view and the moments for a while before heading to Thuman village. We will get to explore another beautiful Tamang village once we reach there

The walk to Briddim today is another beautiful experience of walking through incredible natural surroundings. We will also get to enjoy the views of mountains along with other natural wonders. It will take us past beautiful sceneries, agricultural field, lush forests and spectacular landscapes. Briddim village offers us another incredible cultural immersion and experience. It is another Tamang village that has an inspiring lifestyle of the mountains.

We finally head toward Syabrubesi today as the final day of the trek. It is a short trekking day back to Syabrubesi. But in about just three hours of walk, we can see a lot of wonderful things along the way. After spending beautiful time trekking and exploring the cultural wonders in the region, we finally trek back to Syabrubesi. We take an easy day at Syabrubesi today relaxing and exploring the place as we have planned overnight stay here today.

We will take a bus ride back to Kathmandu in the morning. The drive again allows us to enjoy the scenic view along the highway. Once we reach Kathmandu and check into hotel, we will take easy time to wander and explore around.
