Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Day one is your arrival day in Kathmandu. We will come to welcome you at the airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel and checking in to the rooms, we will let you know about our trip briefing meeting. 

It is an important meeting so, we will wait until everyone arrives if there are people flying in different flights for the trip on the same date. Anyway, you will get the information about the meeting time.

It is an acclimatization day as well as an exploration day in Kathmandu. You will also have the time to do last-minute preparation on this day if you need to. After you take your breakfast, we will take you for a beautiful sightseeing tour of the cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu. The sites include ancient Buddhist stupas, Hindu temple, and medieval royal palace square. You will explore about the Kathmandu valley civilization since the ancient time. This day tour will give you a better understanding of life in Kathmandu in the past and at present.

We will drive to Dhunche today. The journey starts early morning after breakfast. An eight hour drive through scenic middle hills highway takes us to Dhunche to start the trek tomorrow towards Langtang valley. Once we reach Syabrubesi, we will check in to a guest house and explore the place.

We embark on the trekking adventure in the Langtang region from today. The first day of trek takes us to Syabru Gaun through the trail full of pristine nature. The rural beauty of the region is so stunning that has the power to overwhelm anyone travelling there. We trek past local ethnic villages and amazing natural surroundings and eventually reach Syabru Gaun to stay overnight. Once we reach there, we will spend time exploring around the village.

We will trek to Lama Hotel to day to stay overnight at the elevation of 2,380 meters above sea level. The trek passes through beautiful landscapes and local villages to reach the wonders of Lama Hotel. Once we reach there, we can laze around to explore the place. After all, our day has already become beautiful with the wonderful walking experience through marvelous surroundings.

We relish the breakfast and get ready to start the trek to Langtang village today. The walk introduces us with the cultural civilization in the Langtang valley as we walk past the settlements. Walking through the forested area and past some small villages, we also enjoy the spirituality prevalent in the region. Local villages, monastery and forest that come along the trail make the walk beautiful. Once we reach Langtang village and check into a guest house, we will spend time exploring and enjoying the place.

We will start the day trek after breakfast to go gradually higher towards the famous Kyanjing village in the region. The trek goes past several prayer walls along the trail and also crosses several beam bridges. A slow paced progression towards the Kyanjing village brings us face to face with several wonders along the trail. After about 6 hours of walk on the winding trail up and down in the mountain, we reach Kynajing village to stay overnight.

We get ready for an early morning hike to Tserko Ri today. The hike takes us to the elevation of 5,005 meters above sea level. Once we reach the top, we can enjoy an incredible Himalayan sunrise and a spectacular view of the mountains. After spending some quality time at Tserko Ri, we walk back down to Kyanjing village and spend the day exploring around.

After the wonderful day at Kyanjing and its surroundings, it’s now time to trek back. The walk today takes us all the way back to Lama Hotel to stay overnight.

From today onwards, we start trekking towards Gosaikunda Lake. The destination of the walk today is a small but beautiful village called Thulo Syabru. It takes us about five hours to reach the village where we can explore around the lifestyle once we reach. We walk through a peaceful trail to the destination that brings us awesomeness of nature and view.

We continue the trek to Shin Gompa today. The trail slowly heads towards a higher elevation now. It is another day of beautiful trek in the Gosaikunda region that brings us closer to nature and. The elevation gain today is a big difference of around 1100 meters. Because of the huge elevation gain, we will keep our walking pace at easy. It will leave us with ample time to acclimatize.

We eventually set off for the walk to Gosaikunda Lake. Early morning uphill trek towards the lake is a challenging adventure. However, the excitement of reaching such a magnificent lake in the mountains keeps us going at ease. In addition, some spectacular views of the mountains from the trail make our walking beautiful. As soon as we reach the Lake, we will settle into a teahouse and explore the positive energies and spirituality present in the surroundings of the sacred lake.

The walk today is a little bit more challenging since we are trekking over a mountain pass. We walk over the Lauri Binayak Pass at the elevation of 4,610 meters above sea level. This challenge starts in the first half of the trek. Although it is a challenging adventure walk to the pass, we will get the reward of breathtaking view of the surroundings as we walk and also from the pass. The destination of our walk today is Gopte that comes after descending from the pass.

We continue our trek to Kutumsang today to stay overnight. The trek takes us through natural surroundings of the middle hills. We will enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and surroundings as we trek towards Kutumsang. It is a day of peaceful walk along the trail that takes us past beautiful settlements.

The walk today eventually takes us to the ridge of Kathmandu valley. Traversing the trail up and down through the beautiful hills, we trek to Chisapani to stay overnight. We enjoy the trail walking through beautiful nature and local villages. The day brings us an incredible experience of walking through serenity of nature.

We are on the final day of trek and it is a downhill walk to Sundarijal. The trail again passes through village and forest. Once we reach Sundarijal, we will have our pickup vehicle waiting for us. We drive back to Kathmandu after so many wonderful days in the mountains. Once we reach Kathmandu, we will have free time to wander around and relax.
