Climbing Island Peak is one of the world’s great adventures.
A combination of trekking and mountaineering, Island Peak is an exciting introduction to the world of high-altitude mountaineering.
Island Peak, at 6,189 meters above sea level, is situated in the Khumbu region of the Himalayas and is popular among trekkers and climbers.
The adventure starts with a trek to Everest Base Camp, where you can acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the breathtaking views of the highest mountain in the world. You will soon head to Island Peak Base Camp, from where you will start the climb to the summit of Island Peak.
The climb requires basic mountaineering skills and equipment, but it is a great opportunity for novice climbers to gain some experience before. The climb offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including the majestic Lhotse and Ama Dablam.
The adventure offers an excellent opportunity to experience the thrill of mountaineering, while also exploring the beautiful Khumbu region of the Himalayas.
