Manaslu Circuit Trek

Day one is your arrival day in Kathmandu. We will come to welcome you at the airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel and checking in to the rooms, we will let you know about our trip briefing meeting. 

It is an important meeting so, we will wait until everyone arrives if there are people flying in different flights for the trip on the same date. Anyway, you will get the information about the meeting time.

It is an acclimatization day as well as an exploration day in Kathmandu. You will also have the time to do last minute preparation on this day if you need to. After you take your breakfast, we will take you for a beautiful sightseeing tour of the cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu. The sites include ancient Buddhist stupas, Hindu temple, and medieval royal palace square. You will explore about the Kathmandu valley civilization since the ancient time. This day tour will give you a better understanding of life in Kathmandu in the past and at present.

We will drive Soti Khola today that will takes us around six hours. The trek in Manalsu region normally starts from Soti Khola. We will drive out of Kathmandu and go past small towns along the highway. The drive will give us an experience of rural life and the topography of the country. When we reach Soti Khola, we will check into a guest house and relax.

The first day of our trek has arrived. We get ready to set off on the first day of our trek in the Manaslu region. Our destination of the walk for the day is Machha Khola. The trek goes along the Budhi Gandaki River valley where we can enjoy the natural surroundings. Our overnight stop for the day, Machha Khola, is a small town along the trail. Once we check into one of the guest houses at Machha Khola, we will spend time at leisure and relax.

We will get ready to start the trek for the day after breakfast. The trail today again meanders along the river valley as we walk towards Jagat to stay overnight. We trek past Khorlabesi, Tatopani and several other beautiful places along the trail. The small and beautiful village of Jagat lies below a hanging cliff. We reach the village after a walk of about six hours. We will have enough time to explore the village once we reach there and check into a guest house.

We continue our trek around Manaslu as the third day proceeds. Budhi Gandaki river valley again guides us through the trail towards Philim today after breakfast. We will enjoy wonderful view of the mountains like Sringi Himal from the trail. The trek today also takes us past the beautiful villages like Salleri and Sirdibas before reaching Philim to stay overnight.

Bihi village is our destination for the walk today. We set off for the walk of the day and it will take us around six hours to reach the destination. Our walk takes us through Ekle Bhatti where we find two different trails. One of them goes towards Tsum Valley in the region while the other goes towards the Manaslu Circuit route. We take the latter and walk towards Bihi to stay overnight. The trail today brings us beautiful surroundings and view.

We wake up to enjoy spectacular view of the mountains at Bihi. But we also need to head towards another village today. The walking adventure for the day takes us to Namrung village today. As we walk through the region, we can enjoy some amazing views of the mountains and beautiful surroundings. The walk also brings us beautiful cultural wonders as we can see beautiful prayer flags and chhortens (shrines) along the trail. The influence of Buddhist cultural riches can be seen in the reigon. We eventually reach Namrung to stay overnight with enough time to explore around.

The trek todays takes us above 3,000 meters from the sea level. We will trek to Lho village today through the region where we can enjoy the view of Naike peak and Sinmang Himal as we trek. The trek also goes past Lihi and Shyo villages before we reach Lho village. The view of the mountains and surroundings along the trail today is simply spectacular. We settle into a guest house and relax at Lho.

Our trek in around Manaslu continues today. We will trek to Samagaun as our overnight destination today. We enter the remote and secluded Nubri valley in the Manaslu region. The trail winds up and down the mountains as we traverse it towards Samagaun. Our adventure for the day brings us beautiful view of the mountains along the trail. Samagaun is a wonderful village that offers a timeless cultural experience of the region.

We have an extra day to spend at and around Samagaun as part of our acclimatization day on the trek. We will go to explore the surroundings in the afternoon and spend the overnight at Samagaun.

After a day of acclimatization break, we continue the trek today. We will trek to another beautiful village in the region called Samdo. As we trek higher towards the destination, we can find ourselves surrounded by the wonderful mountains. We enter deeper and higher into the increasing wilderness of the mountain on the trek today. Samdo village has a stunningly beautiful surrounding which we can enjoy to the fullest once we reach there to stay overnight.

We trek to Larke Phedi today to stay overnight just below the Larke pass. A short trekking day but we get a beautiful experience through the wilderness of the mountains. We will have the whole day to explore and admire the beauty of the place and its wonderful surroundings.

The trek today is going to take us to the highest elevation of the trip. When we reach the Larke Pass on our trek today, we will stand at the highest elevation that we reach on the trip. The early morning trek towards the pass is a challenging walk but certainly worth going for the view from the pass. Once we reach the pass, we will find overwhelming views of the mountains and surroundings. Standing at the elevation of 5,160 meters above sea level at Larke pass, we will take time to realize how high we have come. A wonderful view of Annapurna II, Namjung himal, Pang Phuchi, Himlung himal and many other mountains in the region makes our time at the pass memorable. Later, we descend to Bimthang to stay overnight.

Our trek for the day today takes us to Tilije village to stay overnight. Leaving the Manaslu region behind, we are now trekking towards the Annapurna region. It is a beautiful and easy day of walk after the challenging day yesterday.

We are eventually on the final day of the trek on the trip. When we reach Jagat village today, we will meet the famous Annapurna Circuit Trekking trail. Once we reach Jagat to bring the trekking part of the adventure to the end, we already start missing the adventure. We spend a relaxing overnight at Jagat.

We have a long drive back to Kathmandu. We take a four wheel jeep drive to Besi Sahar and then onwards to Kathmandu by Bus. It is a long drive along the highway. We reach Kathmandu at late afternoon and check into hotel and spend a relaxing time.

We have come to the final day of the trip. The adventure to the Manaslu Circuit Trek has brought you a wonderful experience and beautiful memories to treasure in life. We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.
